How body language helps to score in an interview?

It is often said that our actions speak a lot about ourselves. At the placements, it is crucial that body language gives right message about your personality to the HR. Let’s see some tips to ensure your body language makes a good impression and helps to score in a job interview.

As soon as you step
The interview starts from the moment you enter into the premises. You never know who is watching you secretly. Your body language should show that you are confident. Therefore you should not panic or appear tensed. Stay cool and calm. Make sure that you are not frantically searching for printouts of your resume or any other documents. Be ready in advance.

Waiting for the recruitment process to start
Avoid starring at the door, it will look like you are planning for a quick escape! Don’t portray a bothered attitude. Don’t bite your nails. Don’t sit there tightly clutching your fists in your lap. You will look nervous and full of anxiety on the interior.

First impression
Sit with your back straight. It depicts that you are confident and assertive. Make sure that you don’t throw your arms across the back of the chair. This can make you appear too comfortable, even arrogant. Don’t hold too many things on your lap so that you rise gracefully without dropping things and can smoothly greet the HR. Use your hands to express your gestures.

Shaking your hand
Recruitment of candidate is based on several factors. Your handshake should have the right balance. It should neither be too tight nor too loose. Too tight handshake will show dominance and too loose handshake will show that you are low on confidence. As you're going to be shaking with your right hand, so hold your belongings on your left side.

Leaving the place of interview
Focusing on keeping your tone of voice even and polite, shake hand and thank the interviewer with a smile and gather your belongings quietly. A graceful goodbye is essential as a warm greeting.
Interview
Many appear for the job but few are selected for the difference they make!
Opportunity knows only once! Go, get it!

8 things to keep in mind while sitting for the interview

8 things to keep in mind while sitting for the interview 1. Make sure that your introduction is impressive: In the interview , most probably the first question asked is usually “Tell me about yourself.” Take 1-2 minutes to answer this question. You should include about your qualifications, past experiences, strengths and interests related to work, etc. Don’t repeat what is already written in the resume. The recruiter wants to hear something apart from that. Your introduction is the first impression on interviewer , therefore it should grab his attention so that he takes interest in whatever you say. If he asks you speak more, then he might be testing your communication skills so you can include about your parents and their profession, siblings and other family members. Also, you can speak more about your professional experience and your style of working. 2.
