8 things to keep in mind while sitting for the interview

1. Make sure that your introduction is impressive:

INTERVIEWIn the interview, most probably the first question asked is usually “Tell me about yourself.” Take 1-2 minutes to answer this question. You should include about your qualifications, past experiences, strengths and interests related to work, etc. Don’t repeat what is already written in the resume. The recruiter wants to hear something apart from that. Your introduction is the first impression on interviewer, therefore it should grab his attention so that he takes interest in whatever you say. If he asks you speak more, then he might be testing your communication skills so you can include about your parents and their profession, siblings and other family members. Also, you can speak more about your professional experience and your style of working.

2. Make use of felicitous verbal communication:

INTERVIEW
Sometimes the interviewer might appear warm and friendly to you in order to make you comfortable in the interview. In such situation, interact and communicate softly with the recruiter but never become too wise. This might depict your bad attitude. He may find it disrespectful. Remain polite and gentle and utilize clear and proficient words to avoid miscommunication. Make use of felicitous communication and cut a figure smartly.

3. Have spectacular dogmatic behavior:

INTERVIEWBeginning from the introduction till the end of the interview, the recruiter observes your behavior. He should find you enthusiastic and eager to work with the company. Always show positive attitude towards the work. You can mention the aspects of the company that have highly impressed you. This will exhibit your efforts taken for doing the research about the company. You should pose encouraging stance.

4. Pay attention to your body language:

INTERVIEWAs your actions speak a lot about yourselves, your body language should give right message about your personality to the interviewer. Sit with your back straight. Use hand gestures to express your opinions. Make a firm hand shake with the interviewer. Being professionally sound, ensure that your body language favorably affects the interviewer.
5. Carry smartness:
You are very well aware that the interviewer is going to ask the questions. You will be prepared for the commonly asked questions but he may try to confuse you by asking tricky questions. In such case, take your own time and think for a while, then smartly answer the question. Never use negative words or bluff the interviewer. He might be checking your ability to handle the situation, so carefully deal with the situation. He might also check out your intellectual and political views.
6. Be focused and concise:
Interviewer might appreciate specific i.e. to the point responses rather than general responses. It is essential to entirely focus on the words of the interviewer to understand his questions well. Probably he might be asking same questions to every candidate but in the way you respond to them differentiates you from other candidates and makes you stand out of the crowd. Hence you should be concise and should not drag it too long, otherwise the interviewer might lose interest.
7. Keep your cell phone off:
INTERVIEWAlways switch off your cell phone before going for the interview. If you forget to switch it off and it rings during an interview, don’t look at the display window and don’t answer that you cannot talk at that moment.  Hit the off button immediately. Apologize to the interviewer and say that you were so engaged in preparing for the interview that you forgot to turn it off. Avoid taking the risk as it may distract the interviewer.

8. Have to end on thank you note:

INTERVIEWWhen the interview is over, thank the interviewer for spending his crucial time with you. You may ask him about the time frame for filling the job and notifying candidates. Make an eye contact and shake hands. This shows your good manners and etiquette. Keep a smile on your face and walk out smartly.

These are the few essential points which you should strictly follow and keep in mind while sitting in the interview room. Going through these points, will generate positivity within and will significantly boost up your motivational level and self-confidence. Negligence of these points, might affect your selectivity for the job. If the company has urgent requirement, it will any how get the candidate. The recruiter will hire the candidate either by direct interview or via placement consultancy.
