How to smartly answer the challenging questions asked in the interview?

JOB

The way you answer the questions, demonstrates your ability to tackle the real-life problems. It shows how confidently you handle the situation. You should be prepared for certain questions before stepping into the hot seat. The most commonly asked questions in the placement drives are as following:

Tell me about yourself.
Talk about your qualifications and work related stuff including your experiences, expertise, key skills, etc. Try to end up in 1-2 minutes. Extending too long might lose the attention of the interviewer.

Where do you see yourself in next five years?
Answer this to reflect the company with your goals. Don't give generic response. Being specific, will highlight you as goal-oriented personality and may impress the HR.

Why should I hire you?
Tell the interviewer that you get things done and talk about the proven track record along with the incidents indicating the same. Quoting the examples will strengthen your answer and will depict the HR that you need the job as much as the company needs you.

What salary do you expect?
Do enough research and find out the average salary for the post offered by the other consultancies so far. On the basis of this data, state the figure to the HR.

What is your weakness?
Be honest but mention the efforts you have taken to improve the weakness. HR might appreciate your initiative taken to improve upon yourself. Try to quote silly weaknesses that are strengths in disguise.

What are your strengthens?
Start listing out all your strengths. Mention some instances or examples where your strengths have helped you to stand out of the crowd.

What are your achievements so far?
Mention your achievement along with your hard work and teamwork behind it.

Any queries?
Every HR will ask you this question at the end of the interview. You should always have a set of smart questions with you which will help you to display your curiosity and eagerness. Some of the questions can be:
What are the upcoming projects or plans of the company?
What does the company expects from me?
How is the work environment or culture of the company?

The responses to these questions make a difference. This is the reason why only few candidates are selected from the crowd. Prepare well and get selected.

Make a difference!
