What to Do When You Don't Get the Job?
It’s always disheartening when you don’t get the job. It’s sort of the worst but there are many possibilities. Maybe someone else interviewed better than you or you didn’t click with the hiring manager. Don’t be upset because not every student or employee gets the opportunities to climb the corporate ladder. To maximize your chances of having some good come out of this, here are few things you need to do when you don’t get the job:
interviewLet all your anger, sadness, and frustration get away:
Do whatever that will help you let out all the anger, sadness, and frustration. Give yourself some time and allow yourself a chance to get it out. Just be sure that you’ve dealt with your emotions before you start.

Enlist your gains and losses
The interview helps you give yourself the best chance to learn and gain something positive from the situation, even if you don’t crack it. List out the things that went right. It may your resume, cover letter, certifications, etiquetes that caught the eye of the hiring manager and made you stand out. Also jot down things that went wrong so that you don’t repeat them in upcoming interviews. Noting down these points will help you to keep on with these in future interviews.

 Feedback and follow up
interview
Initially thank the hiring team for considering you for the position. In some situations, you can also ask for feedback from the recruiters. May be not everyone will be willing to offer the feedback openly but it will help you in the improvement required for the future job opportunities. Let the corporate know that you would like to be considered for similar opportunities in the future.

 Build your own army
When you are up to the final round in your dream company or the company offering good package and position, you share your happiness with your friends, colleagues, professors, relatives, etc. but if you could not make it then you are not at all excited about sharing the news. Instead of remaining stuck on this, go for a positive approach. Let them know and share your experience and grab the opportunity to ask for the help for similar job offers. So keep it positive and stay focused on the future.

Check for other hiring companies
interview
You might be scared from further job applications or hurdles in the path of the job opportunities but this is any way not done. You have to come out of it and start searching for the companies offering similar position. Networking is the most important part of any job search. Try to make maximum use of social media to find out the networking opportunities. Check out the websites, job portals, LinkedIn and Facebook groups, consultancies, etc. You will find plenty of jobs.

interviewJot down companies of interest and apply
Segregate the companies of your interest out of the companies found. Make sure that you research about the company properly. Apply to those companies positively. Beware of the fake advertisements. Gather proper information about the company and prepare yourself for the interview.

Gain experience
interviewAnalyze the skills required in the domain you belong to succeed and compete with the cut throat competition in the business. Go for the courses or certifications, thus sharpening your skills. Becoming licensed or certified in particular domain strengthening your skillset, shows the company that you mean business. It shows hiring managers that you are passionate about working in the industry and have the zeal to make yourself a better professional.
You can also go for internships or training. Some small organizations could help you with this, therefore brushing your skills. It not only increases your chance of being hired but also provides you with solid experience and allows you to build a stronger network for the future.
Although it’s heartbreaking not to get a position that you thought but now you can channel all the positivity about the process into your search moving forward.
Come on cheer up! Go and get it! ALL THE BEST!
